What This Website Is
Everything published here is general information about home, investment and specialist lending. It does not take your objectives, financial situation or needs into account, and it is not credit advice, financial advice, tax advice or legal advice.
Nothing on this site is an offer of credit or an offer to arrange credit. Whether any loan is available to you depends on a lender's assessment of your application, and every lender sets its own criteria.
Accuracy And Currency
Lending policy, interest rates, government schemes, thresholds and regulatory settings change, sometimes at short notice. We date the figures we publish so you can see how current they are, but we do not warrant that any of it is accurate, complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
Check anything that matters with us, with the lender, or with the agency administering the scheme before you act on it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on material published here.
How We Are Paid
We are paid a commission by the lender when a loan we arrange for you settles. This is usually an upfront amount, and on most loans an ongoing trail. You are not charged a fee for our conversation, for the borrowing power work, for comparing lenders or for lodging an application.
Where a fee would apply to your particular situation, we tell you the amount and the reason in writing before you commit to anything. We disclose what we are paid on the loan we recommend, as we are required to.
Our Obligations To You
We provide credit assistance under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009. That means we must act in your best interests, and that where our interests conflict with yours, yours take priority. It also means we must make reasonable inquiries into your situation and verify what you tell us before we recommend a loan.
Nothing on this site is an offer of credit or an offer of credit assistance. All lending is subject to the lender's criteria, assessment and approval.
What You Agree To
- The information you give us is true and complete, as far as you know. Lenders assess and verify what we submit, and an inaccurate application can be declined or withdrawn
- You will not use this site for anything unlawful, and you will not attempt to interfere with it or gain unauthorised access to it
- You will not copy, republish or resell the content of this site without our written permission
Enquiries And Response
When you send an enquiry we will contact you about it. We do not guarantee a response time, and an enquiry does not create any obligation on either of us. No client relationship exists until we agree in writing to act for you.
We handle the information you send us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The text, layout, code and graphics on this site are ours or licensed to us, and remain so. Trade marks and product names belonging to lenders and government agencies are the property of their owners, and are used here only to describe what we can arrange.
Links To Other Sites
Where we link to a government agency, regulator or lender, we do so for your convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Liability
Nothing here excludes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, and we limit our liability for anything else to re-supplying the relevant service.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, tell us first. Call (02) 5616 8708 or use our contact page. We will acknowledge it and respond in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can take the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, our external dispute resolution scheme, at no cost to you.
Changes And Governing Law
We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction.
